I had to do some guesswork for some parts of the translation, but for the most part it went surprisingly smoothly save for having to look up a bajillion kanji because my kanji reading skills are horrible pfft One thing I’d like to point out is that, though it gets lost in translation a bit, the part where Satsuki is talking about sand castles and the full moon is actually a reference to how Natsuki came up with the title for the song (and for Satsuki himself): the kanji for “Sa” (砂) means “sand,” and the kanji for “tsuki” (月) means “moon.” I myself had honestly wondered where the “Sa” part of Satsuki’s name came from (since I figured the “tsuki” part was just keeping with his own name, “Natsuki”), so I thought this was really interesting.Thank you all for waiting, here is my report for the first night of Uta no Prince-sama Maji Love 7th Stage!! XD (And I apologize if it doesn’t look very good OTL I tried my best though ) (But I was too lazy to edit the ones that were just punctuation like 「!!!」 or 「……」 so if you see random Japanese quotes that’s why pfft )
I’m not exactly an expert when it comes to translating games, and I have no clue how to do any of that text-grabbing stuff or whatever, so I did things the old-fashioned way and screencapped every single line, translated them, and then edited the translations in using MS Paint… so as you can imagine, it was a bit of a time-consuming process.
Hey guys! ^^ Here’s something a bit different that I’ve been working on for the past week or so to give myself feels because Satsuki is my baby: a translation of part of one of the chapters in the otome game “Uta no Prince-sama Repeat”! (Specifically Natsuki’s February chapter, “ Fuyu no hi no fine”/“Winter days’ end” the second half of the chapter where Satsuki *spoiler for fans who have only seen the anime* ~ )
